Zomato: Food Delivery & Dining 4+‎

So I did an order days ago and the driver delivered to the wrong address when I called him he said he left it in the reception of my building I went down it was not there I don’t know why he didn’t come up and knock and deliver it to my door... anyways I called the customer service they had no idea where did the driver dropped my order... and the money will take at least 10 days to be reversed in my card ... now today I did order sth else and by somehow the address switched to my old address and I saw it on the spot I called the number of the restaurant they told me I have to call zomato I went to the chat option and I told the customer service agent that the address is wrong , he promised me he will tell the driver ... then the driver called to inform me that He reached the old location and no one updated him about the new one. And of course he refused to deliver the order to the new address when I asked him !!! He was rude and he hanged up on me. At the didn’t receive my order and again it will take 10 days to get my bank redound... this is unacceptable because I did before the same mistake with an other app and everything went smooth... I will never order from zomato again ...

There’s no better alternative for Zomato in UAE. I’ve been using this app for years now. In the first couple of years everything was perfect. Customer service was prompt and truly helpful, reasonable delivery charges (Zomato provided drivers). But what happened??? Cmon guys, don’t be so greedy! What the hell is with this new pop up adds??? “Upgrade to Zomato Gold to skip this add”. Seriously??? Is it not enough that we are paying 7 drh (almost 2$ btw) for the delivery for YOUR drivers? The percentage that you are getting from restaurants for EACH order made through app is apparently not enough either? Let’s get more money from annoying our customers! I don’t want to upgrade, and I don’t want to be pushed to do so in such a filthy manner! You didn’t improve application in any better way, moreover, it’s getting worse! To get a reply from customer service is a challenge now. And even if you got one, in 90% of the cases answer will be “oh, sorry, we cannot reach the restaurant to get an update on your order. Maybe you can try calling them yourself?”. Why should I? Both parties are paying you for your service, it’s your job to do follow up!
Anywho.... It’s very disappointing to see how great idea is turning into money sucking *hit.
I would gladly delete Zomato at all, but as I said in the beginning - there’s no alternative.

I’ve waited two hours for my food to be delivered. The delivery guy called me many times asking for my location and then he went to the wrong location many times even though i sent my location to his WhatsApp number. Very rude with bad attitude he sounded intoxicated. And when i talked to the customer service agent he didn’t know how to handle the situation and asked me to contact the driver as if this is my job. And later on he asked me to cancel the order because the driver can’t find my location. So, after i waited 2 hrs for my order he just wants to cancel it instead of solving the issue. I was contacted many times by the customer service and by the driver and been told that my order is outside my door while the driver was in a differ location and acting in a very reckless and careless way. At the end when the delivery guy managed to finally bring my order to my place he literally stood in front of my main door without knocking and i opened the door to wait for him and i saw him already there just standing without even knocking. This is a horrible application and a horrible service. If it continues to be like that I won’t use this app and won’t recommend it to anyone. Your job is to deliver my orders which i paid for and i paid for the delivery too. So i should get my orders on time without all the drama of following up and getting so annoyed otherwise i’ll order straight from the restaurants
